SW312WA03/04/05/06   12 alu-cone subwoofer, 4/8 ohm

 

 

 

 

SW312WA03 and SW312WA04 are woofers designed for dedicated sub bass applications. They work equally well for high-end hi-fi, high quality home theater systems, and top multimedia setups.
The extremely stiff aluminium cone, the long linear throw, exaggerated ventilation, and the special dynamic linearization short circuiting rings together make up for an unusually linear and low-distortion woofer. Even at very high signal levels, the unit behaves controlled and without distortion.
Due to low mechanical losses SW312WA03 and SW312WA04 master equally well low level details and extreme dynamic peaks.
Both models are available with black anodized alu cones as SW312WA05 (4 ohm) and SW312WA06 (8 ohm)

             REPLACEMENTS
SW312WA03 and SW312WA04 have replaced the previous models SW310WA01 and SW310WA02.

It is generally a rough simplification to assume that loudspeaker transducer voice coils exhibit the characteristics of an inductor. Instead it is a far more accurate approach to use the more advanced model often referred to as the “Wright empirical model”, also used in LEAP-4 as the TSL model (www.linearx.com), involving parameters Krm, Erm, Kxm, and Exm. This more accurate transducer model is described in a technical paper (PDF) here.

After burn-in specifications are measured 12 hours after exciting the transducer by a 20 Hz sine wave for 2 hours at level 10/14.1 VRMS (4/8 ohm version). The unit is not burned in before shipping.
